Historically, both the NQF 4 and NQF 5 Real Estate Qualifications have been based on residential property, with commercial property Agents and owners finding minimal practical workplace examples and learnings in the material. However, BrainTrust has overhauled both the NQF 4 and NQF 5 Real Estate programs for the commercial property industry. Workplace examples are now relevant and focus on the industrial, office and retail markets with more emphasis going to contracts, legislation, property management and valuations with practical applications to each commercial property vertical.

Commercial Property Brokers
Commercial property brokers are required by the EAAB to hold a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate in order to market, lease or sell commercial property on behalf of third parties. BrainTrust’s NQF 4 and NQF 5 Commercial Property Qualifications are fully accredited by Services SETA and the Estate Agency Affairs Board, enabling a commercial property broker to operate legally within the industry. In order to hold a Full Status Fidelity Fund Certificate, and to remain a registered and licensed commercial property Estate Agent in South Africa, one must hold the NQF 4 Qualification. In order to own and manage a commercial property Agency, one must hold a NQF 5 Qualification.
